Embroidery project "You Are a Gem" + FREE pattern

The pattern is simple and easy enough for beginners looking to practice a few new stitches.

This design would be perfect on light-colored fabric. The pattern is designed to fit in a 6-inch embroidery hoop, but you can scale it to fit your hoop.

To download the „You Are a Gem“ pattern enter e-mail in bottom of this blog post and check your e-mail inbox.

Print it out and use your favourite transfer method to mark the pattern onto fabric. Easiest way to transfer embroidery pattern is with tracing carbon paper - you can find how-to video on my YouTube channel or in first blog post. Once you've transferred your design onto fabric, place your fabric into an embroidery hoop. Grab your basic embroidery supplies and threads and start stitching, following the stitch guide and tutorial on my YouTube channel.

For this pattern I recommend back stitch and split-back stitch. If you want to know how to make back and split-back stitch, you can watch tutorial on my YouTube channel or read in a previous blog post How to Get Started With Hand Embroidery.

After you download your free pattern you can watch how-to video on my YouTube channel in two part series:

Tutorial - "You are a Gem" Emboidery pattern - Part 1

Tutorial - "You are a Gem" Emboidery pattern - Part 2

When you are finished stitching the embroidery frame you can finalise your project however you like.

Stitch this design and keep it around as a reminder.
